Felon arrested in Yucca Valley on drugs and weapons charges

Investigators said a convicted felon, who had an extensive criminal history, was facing drugs and weapons charges after being arrested Thursday in Yucca Valley.

They said the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station served a search warrant in a neighborhood off Luna Vista Lane.

Investigators said the MET team found various items in the suspect's vehicle including two handguns, an AR-15 style rifle, around a pound of metamphetamine, and about $3,000.

The suspect was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail. He was identified as a 56-year-old resident from Yucca Valley.
