Coachella Valley Firebirds team up with FIND Food Bank to give back to those in need
The Coachella Valley Firebirds teamed up with FIND Food Bank today to give back to those who are in need.
Firebird's players, coaches, staff, and families volunteered their time in packing senior homebound boxes at FIND Food Bank's warehouse in Indio. The team had the chance to tour the find facility and learn more about what the organization does for the community.
"I appreciate everything and it's cool to see what everything's going on here and the donations they've gotten and in all the good that they're doing, I can't say enough about it. And it's just something that's cool to be a part of," said Andrew Poturalski, who plays Forward for the Firebirds.
FIND says it's critical to have volunteers supporting the distribution center to spread hunger awareness.
