What we know so far about the mass shooting in Maine
LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — An intensive search for a U.S. Army reservist who is accused in a mass shooting at a restaurant and a bowling alley in Maine ended when he was found dead on Friday. The search for 40-year-old Robert Card of Bowdoin ended when his body was found at a recycling company’s property. Authorities say Card apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They earlier had lifted a shelter-in-place order nearly 48 hours after the shootings Wednesday night. Officials in Maine, including Gov. Janet Mills, called for a transition to a time of healing in the aftermath of the shootings. Here’s what we know about the suspect and where the shooting happened.
