Insider Blog: Flood Preparedness Week

This week is Flood Preparedness Week in California. Did you know that within the last 20 years, every single county in California has been declared a federal flood disaster area at least once?

The worst flood in California's history was in 1862 and affected everywhere from Washington to Utah to Baja California. The floods killed more than 4,000 people and did more than 3 billion dollars in damage across the state (in today's money).
