Can't make it to the game? You can watch the November 21 Coachella Valley Firebirds game on KDFX Fox 11. The broadcast starts at 6:30 p.m. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
The Coachella Valley Firebirds are headed out for three games on the road after back-to-back losses at home. When they return to local ice on November 21, fans at Acrisure Arena will watch them face the Ontario Reign. It's Hockey Fights Cancer Night, one of the 14 theme nights for the team.
The broadcasts will be provided by the team and will include a half-hour pre-game show hosted by Gino LaMont and Hall of Fame Goaltender and 5-time Stanley Cup Champion Grant Fuhr. Play-by-play will be called by Firebirds announcer Evan Pivnick.

What is Hockey Fights Cancer?
The NHL says Hockey Fights Cancer is "a joint initiative of the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association powered by the V Foundation for Cancer Research, Hockey Fights Cancer unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families."
The American Hockey League joining the initiative, including here in the Coachella Valley with the Firebirds. Eisenhower Health is sponsoring the November 21 night at Acrisure Arena.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the larger effort. "Since its inception in 1998, Hockey Fights Cancer – a joint initiative by the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) – has resulted in donations of more than $32 million to support national and local cancer research institutions, children’s hospitals, player charities, and local charities," the AHL reports.
