Macron urges European leaders to boost Ukraine support, saying Russia ‘must not win’

PARIS (AP) — French President Emmanuel Macron is telling fellow European leaders they must ensure their collective security by providing unwavering support to Ukraine in the face of tougher Russian offensives on the battlefield in recent months. Macron spoke at a conference gathering over 20 leaders in Paris. European heads of state and government and other Western officials came to Paris for a meeting meant to be a show of unity for Ukraine, as Russia’s full-scale invasion grinds into a third year. In video speech, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on leaders to “ensure that Putin cannot destroy our achievements and cannot expand his aggression to other nations.”
