Palm Springs Businesses Required to Pay Signage Fee

Portable signs line Downtown Palm Springs sidewalks, but that could soon change.

The city of Palm Springs is now requiring businesses to pay a yearly fee of $44 to allow portable signage to be placed adjacent to the storefront.

If the sign is placed on the side walk, in the public right of way, there's an additional one time land use fee.

Some business owners tell News Channel 3 the roll out of the fees and communication with the city has been an issue.

If you have any questions, reach out to the Palm Springs Economic Development Department.
