City of Big Bear Lake prepares for a busy winter after difficult fire season

The City of Big Bear is still recovering after an intense fire season, yet an influx of visitors will surely arrive in the coming weeks. The area is known for its serene views, and snowcapped mountains. It's also a popular area for camping, snowboarding, and skiing during the winter.

The city saw its first measurable snowfall of the season over the weekend, with 4-5 inches falling overnight on Friday. News Channel Three's Tori King will speak with local city council members about what the city is doing to prepare for the visitors.
