Correction: Plane Crash-Puppy Survivor story

WINDHAM, N.Y. (AP) — In a story published Nov. 25, 2024, about a plane crash in New York state that killed a pilot and a dog, while leaving two other dogs injured, The Associated Press erroneously reported that one of the surviving dogs was taken to a veterinary hospital in Middleton, Connecticut, and misspelled the first name of a dog rescue organization’s operator. The city is spelled ‘Middletown’ and the operator of Kuddles & Kisses K9 Rescue in Baltimore is Cathy West. Additionally, the story referred to the dogs’ destination as the Animal Shelter of Schoharie County, rather than the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley.
