Tracking above-average heat and elevated fire risk
Good morning. It's another mild start ot the day with temperatures in the 60s and low 70s. Conditions are dry, and winds are calm. Thanks to the high pressure over California, some offshore winds have developed. This has led to the development of some Santa Ana Winds and elevated fire risk across some parts of Southern California.

In the coming days, there will be little to no change. This will cause highs to remain in the mid-90s, well above average for this time of year. Onshore winds will return later this week, but it will stay in the mid-90s for us here in the desert.

As mentioned before, there is little to no change expected for the Coachella Valley in terms of our weather. Expect highs in the mid-90s for Halloween, and don't forget to switch your clocks back by an hour on Sunday morning.
