Mild, Cooling Trend to Seasonal into The American Express Weekend

Clouds and cooler temperatures across the Coachella Valley today through Friday, with highs easing closer to normal in the low 70s with periods of high clouds and localized onshore winds.

While showers are possible west of the mountains and in higher elevations Thursday into early Saturday, the valley floor will likely to remain dry with partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures stay near seasonal through the weekend, then begin to warm early next week as skies clear more and offshore flow develops. Early next week, another ridge of high pressure brings a return of warmer daytime highs, warming back into the mid 70s by mid next week.

The American Express Golf Tournament in La Quinta (Thursday–Sunday), expect mostly dry conditions with mild but slightly cooler afternoons Thursday and Friday, along with some clouds and light breezes. Weather improves some over the weekend, with more sunshine and more of a warm-up, especially by Tuesday.
