Desert Hot Springs house fire contained

Update: A one-story structure fire on the 12000 block of Pomelo Drive in Desert Hot Springs has been contained. The fire was reported at approximately 12:21 p.m. Approximately 20 Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported. Two adjacent structures reportedly suffered minor damage.

A single-story residence near the intersection of Palm Drive and Rancho Grande near Cabot Yerxa Elementary in Desert Hot Springs is “fully engulfed in flames” according to Cal Fire. 20 firefighters have responded to the scene.
