One man injured, two pets killed in Cabazon fire

Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters responded to a 3:36 a.m. report of a residential structure fire on the 14000 block of Almond Street in Cabazon this morning. When the first fire team arrived, they found a single-wide modular home 50% engulfed in flames according to a fire department news release.

The fire was contained by approximately 4:04 a.m.

Two small dogs died in the fire. One person suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by firefighter paramedics. He refused transport to a local medical center.

It’s estimated that the fire caused $50,000 worth of damage.
