18th annual Senior Games are underway in Palm Desert

The 18th Senior Games hosted by the Desert Recreation District features over 1,100 senior citizens from 23-states, & Canada. The average age is 62 while the oldest is 88 and they compete in week long events such as volleyball, soccer, pickleball, track & field, walk race, table tennis, and golf.

Weekend schedule

Saturday, February 10th:

8am- Mixed Double Pickleball (Palm Desert Civic Center tennis courts)

Women’s Volleyball (Indio High School & Desert Sports Center)

9am- Men’s & Women’s Soccer Tournament (Palm Desert Soccer Park)

Race Walking (Palm Desert High School)

10am- Track & Field Competition (Palm Desert High School)

Sunday, February 10th:

8am- Men’s Volleyball Tournament (ages 35-49, College of the Desert)

Men’s Volleyball Tournament (ages 50+, College of the Desert)

Women’s Doubles, Men’s Open Pickleball (Civic Center Tennis Courts)

Men’s & Women’s Soccer Tournament (Palm Desert Soccer Park)
