Palm Springs Air Museum Unveils the F-106 Delta Dart
Palm Springs Air Museum kicked off veterans weekend by recognizing all veterans and wanted to thank all who have served our country. And the museum celebrated their 23rd anniversary Air Fair.
The museum unveiled their newly restored aircraft with the help of Steve Jaros, a former fighter pilot, who formally flew the plane.
" To see 509 kind of be resurrected so to speak was just wonderful. Its like a feeling of and a feeling of what I did back in those days in the 70's was worth it and that we did help protect the country," said Jaros.
The ceremony gave a special tribute to all who maintained and flew this aircraft. The pilots also had the chance to sign their names on the plane and remember their flying days.
The ceremony had flight exhibitions, musical performances, free birthday cake, and activities for the kids.
The museum will be offering free admission to all veterans on Veterans Day.
