Smoky conditions reduce air quality across valley

Whether you're in the east or west valley, hazy conditions can be spotted along with the smell of smoke.

Air quality has been reduced to 'unhealthy'.

South Coast Air Quality Management District has issued a smoke advisory for the Coachella Valley through Thursday afternoon.

The wind will both help and hurt the smoky conditions around the desert.
For this evening, winds will shift to have a northwesterly flow helping to push the smoke out of the west valley. Friday morning will likely experience southerly winds once again pushing smoke back to the northwest.

Temperatures will remain above normal through the remainder of the week. A cool down will begin on Sunday with the 90s joining on Monday.
