Driver hits family of geese, killing three
A witness tells News Channel 3 a driver hit a family of geese as they were crossing Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage Friday morning. It happened in front of Eisenhower Medical Center.
The witness says the driver had enough time to slow down, but did not. The driver did not stop.
Animal Control says the father and two chicks died, while the mother and remaining chicks were taken to the lake at The Springs Country Club.
This comes during Distracted Driving Awareness Month. It is a good reminder to slow down and be safe on the roads.
