Vacation rental supporters raise concerns over Measure C

The short-term vacation rental debate in Palm Springs continues.

“We Love Palm Springs,” a group of vacation rental supporters, sent a letter to the city attorney and city council addressing concerns about Measure C on the June ballot.

The measure would ban many of the rentals if it’s passed.

Supporters are upset about some of the language in the measure saying it would too severely limit vacation rentals.

“The letter raises some legitimate concerns about Measure C. The matter that is going to be on the ballot on the election of June 5th,” City Attorney Edward Kotkin said. “I’m just simply advising from a legal matter that there are some internally contradicting things in this initiative as it has been drafted.”

Measure C is set to be on the June 5 ballot.
