Hazmat crew responds to John Glenn Middle School due to stink bomb
A hazmat crew has responded to John Glenn Middle School in Indio due to stink bomb being set off before 10:00 a.m. this morning according to Desert Sands Unified School District Public Information Officer Mary Perry.
Approximately 20-30 students were in the classroom when the stink bomb was set off. ‘A couple’ of students reported eye irritation, breathing issues, and nausea. Students suffering from symptoms are being treated at the school.
The student responsible for setting off the stink bomb has been identified; officials are currently deciding what the discipline for the incident will be.
The report for a hazmat crew went out at 10:01 a.m., according to Cal Fire.
