Celebration of life ceremony held for missing 80-year-old Idyllwild man
The family of the 80-year-old man who went missing in Idyllwild held a celebration of life ceremony on Saturday.
David Bradish suffered from Alzheimer’s and became disoriented while on a walk with his dog ginger — who stayed loyally by his side for nine days before returning to family. David’s body was ultimately found on a remote private property. The family expressed their sincere thanks to the community for their tireless search efforts and for the outpouring of love and support.
“So many of the citizens not even that belong to search and rescue just citizens…stepped up to go help look for my dad,” said David Bradish, the son of David Bradish Sr.
David’s wife Linda said the community comforted her every day while the search efforts continued: “Mostly just the soothing company of people stopping by who live in my area…I loved that. It made me feel comfortable during this horrible time of not knowing where he was,” she said.
David and wife Linda were married for 58 years. In lieu of flowers, David’s family also asked the community to consider donating to either Cal Advocates for the Missing or the Alzheimer’s Association. If you’d like to donate in honor of David and his family, you can do so here.
