Deputies investigating early morning stabbing in Coachella
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Coachella early Monday morning.
Deputies said at around 12:52 a.m. they were notified that a Hispanic man was brought to an area hospital with stab wounds. They said the man then notified them he was stabbed at a business on the 49200 block of Grapefruit Blvd in Coachella.
Deputies said they went to the location and found a crime scene and had investigators speaking with possible witnesses and checking surveillance.
The stabbing victim, deputies said, was alert and has provided information to investigators, and only suffered non-life threatening injuries.
No word on a suspect description at this time.
