Varner Road opens after extended closure

Varner Road has reopened after an extended closure caused by a downed power pole, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.

A section of Varner Rd between Mountain View Road and Edom Hill Road was closed so that a Southern California Edison crew could conduct repairs following a single-vehicle traffic collision around 4:30 a.m.
