Identity released of man killed in crash near I-10 & SR 62

Coroners say 55 year old George Hoffman of Desert Hot Springs is the man killed in a crash near I-10 and SR 62 Friday night, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.

According to CHP, officers received reports of a single vehicle rollover at around 7:33 p.m. on East I10 west of SR.

A CHP spokesperson said one person was confirmed dead, investigators are searching the area for any other people. At this time there is no word on any other people injured.

Lanes were shut down as police investigated, but as of 8:40 p.m., all lanes are back open.
