Doctors of the Desert concert raises money for local music programs

The Steinway Society of Riverside County hosted their annual ‘Doctors Concert & Luncheon’ fundraiser — emceed by News Channel 3’s Brooke Beare.

Donors and guests enjoyed several musical performances by doctors and children on both the harp and piano, followed by a four-generational rock band performance. The event raises money to help fund children’s music programs across the county.

“Most of our children of course are underserved. At least 80% are below the poverty level. It gives them the opportunity to learn a skill to go on to university. That’s our goal,” said Ruth Moir, President & Founder of the Steinway Society of Riverside County.

The Steinway Society of Riverside County has provided free musical education, instrumental instruction and music enrichment programs to thousands of valley kids since it was founded in 2002.
