Palm Desert marathon and 5k steps off for another successful year
It was another busy day for athletes in the valley as hundreds took part in this year’s annual Palm Desert marathon and 5k.
The event brought people from across the Coachella Valley and visitors from surrounding cities, states and Canada.
Attendees could enjoy complimentary water, fruit and snacks as well as a beer garden sponsored by La Quinta Brewing Co. The proceeds go toward the YMCA of the Desert.
Runners of all age groups were awarded participation and finalist medals. Many runners said the flat course was ideal for setting a personal record and also a good start for newcomers.
