What you need to know ahead of the BNP Paribas Open

The 2019 BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament is underway at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden with women’s singles qualifying play starting Monday.

“Beautiful venue, lots of attractions, lots of court action,” said tournament visitor Bruce Leff.

Some tournament-goers were excited by the beauty of the Tennis Garden and its landscaping.

“We love the garden aspect of our venue so there’s a ton of flower walls,” said BNP Paribas marketing director Philippe Dore.

“I enjoy what they’ve done with the flowers,” said visitor Muriel French. “They’ve added so many beautiful flowers.”

Others praised the food and drink attractions.

One major installation getting a lot of attention of event sponsor Moët & Chandon airstream champagne lounge.

“It’s a place that everybody loves to gather because it’s just such a bright and positive space,” Shelby Wilson said.

Admission is free and open to the public to visit Tennis Paradise on Monday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 5. There is plenty of parking for a $25 charge.
