Palm Springs mistakenly sends emergency alert
The Palm Springs Police Department mistakenly sent out a robocall warning residents to take shelter due to a major storm.
PSPD Sgt. Mike Casavan confirmed call was sent out in error, there is no danger at this time.
Casavan told News Channel 3, “on the notifcation system (Nixle) a recording was saved they were unaware of, it sent out when PSPD was letting everyone know that Araby Drive.”
The department is working to correct the situation.
