Over 20 Angel View buses & vans broken into in past few months
Angel View has had to halt transportation operations after more than 20 of the nonprofit’s vans and buses have been broken into over the past few months.
Angel View’s executive director told News Channel 3 thieves have been stealing catalytic converters from their vehicles parked at Thrift Stores. Most have been repaired but some still need work.
The parts stolen cost over a thousand dollars each and that does not include labor costs. Employees are having to reschedule appointments for their clients since the vehicles cannot be used.
” That takes away from our clients here at Angel View. It’s a shame that we are being targeted like this because it really takes away from our clients, ” said Janae Delgado, transportation supervisor at Angel View.
Angel View’s therapeutic day program provides weekday services to adults with developmental disabilities from the Coachella Valley.
