3.5-Magnitiude Quake Reported In Beaumont

BEAUMONT – A small earthquake hit an area of northern Riverside County Friday, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 3:03 a.m. with a magnitude of 3.5, according to the computer-generated report. Its epicenter was 4 miles north-northeast of Beaumont and 5 miles northwest of Banning.
