Fire Makes For Tough Weekend For Palm Springs Club

PALM SPRINGS – Firefighters’ quick action stopped an air conditioner fire from spreading at Confessions Nightclub in Palm Springs, thursday evening.

The fire broke out about 4:45pm on the roof of the building, prompting the sprinklers inside to go off, and filling the nightclub with smoke. None of the neighboring businesses were affected. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put the fire out.

Inside Confessions, a producer for events at the club says he’s worried about events planned there not only this weekend, but in the weeks to come. He says he’s concerned a piano may have been damaged my smoke and water.
