Teenager Arrested For Breaking Into Two Schools
A Desert Hot Springs high school student is behind bars after police say he broke into two local schools, and stole thousands of dollars in electronics.
Eighteen-year-old Mario Landeros is accused of breaking into Palm Springs High School and Desert Hot Springs High School last Saturday night.
Police say they got a tip leading them to Landeros’ home on the 15-900 block of Via Vista.
There, officers found three stolen video cameras worth thousands of dollars each.
One of those cameras was taken in another burglary at Palm Springs High last April.
Police are still looking for two $5,000 Canon video cameras and an HP laptop missing since Saturday’s break-in.
