Early Morning Fire Causes $15,000 In Damage

An overnight fire on Calle Marcus in Palm Springs was put out quickly by Palm Springs Fire crews.

Three unts responded to 1440 Calle Marcus at 2:50am, where they found smoke pouring from the attic area of the home.

Fire crews say the fire was extinguished by crews working from the interior of the structure and on the roof.

No residents were home at the time of the incident.

Fire investigation determined the fire to be caused by faulty wiring in the hallway ceiling. Damages are estimated at $10,000 to structure and $5,000 to contents. No injuries were reported.
