CHP Officers Serve Food To Raise Money
California Highway Patrol officers will work as hosts and servers at the Yard House restaurant to help raise funds for the Special Olympics of Southern California.
The money will be used to help local athletes compete in the Summer Games next month, which will be held in Long Beach, Calif.
This is the fifth year that CHP has participated in “Tip A CHiP.” According to Harold Herrmann, president and chief operating officer of Yard House USA, LLC, this event has raised over $100,000 already during the past four years.
Today’s fundraiser takes place between 5-9 p.m. The Yard House at The River is located at 71-800 Highway 111.
Donations can be made by cash, check or credit card.
