Crews Battle Morning Apartment Fire In Indio
Riverside County fire crews responded to an apartment fire, this morning, along the 46-000 block of Arabia Street.
The 911 call came in at 5:36am, according to Cal Fire, and happened in a fourplex apartment complex.
It was contained in about 10 minutes, and only impacted one of the units.
Fire crews tell News Channel 3 it was caused by a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, and caused $5,000 in damage.
Seven people are now without a home as a result. Three adults and four children will now be helped by the Red Cross for temporary housing.
