77-Year-Old Thermal Man Killed in Crash

Ernest Morreo was driving at the intersection of Jackson Street and 64th Avenue in Thermal at about 7:15 p.m. Friday night when the crash happened.

He was taken to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, where he was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m. Monday, according to the coroner.

There was no indication as to whether the driver of the other vehicle was injured. The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
