Easter Egg Hunt Kicks Off In Palm Springs

The Palm Springs Firemen’s Association will hide more than 3,000 eggs for children to find at a park today.

The association will hold its annual egg hunt, a Palm Springs tradition for more than 40 years, at 9 a.m. at Ruth Hardy Park today, city spokeswoman

Amy Blaisdell said. The event is open to children ages 2 to 9 and includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny on a fire truck.

Last year, more than 350 children searched for eggs. Family members can take photos of children with the Easter Bunny and are asked to bring Easter baskets, Blaisdell said.

“The Palm Springs Firemen’s Association Easter Egg Hunt is a much loved tradition in our city that is open to all families in the Coachella Valley,” said Fire Chief Scott Ventura. “It truly is one of the best children’s events in the desert. I invite everyone to bring their camera.”
