200-to-300 Hypodermic Needles Dumped In Desert Hot Springs

Cleanup crews are carefully picking up hundreds of hypodermic needles that were found dumped near a residential area in Desert Hot Springs on Monday.

The discovery was called into authorities around 11 a.m. on Taco Way, near Mesquite Avenue.

Authorities said they do not know who dumped the needles, which they estimate at anywhere between 200 and 300.

No one was injured.
