Palm Springs Police Search For Missing Man

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man.

Palm Springs police spokesman Mike Kovaleff said Joseph George Benna, 86, was last seen in the 2900 block of East Ramon Road at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday.

He was descibed as a white man with gray hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall,weighing 125 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a blue Navy veteran ball cap, a gray polo shirt and blue or gray pants.

His hair was in a ponytail, he said.

“He left the location on foot and is a slow walker with diminished mental capacity,” Kovaleff said.

The Palm Springs Police Department is actively searching the City of Palm Springs for him. He has also lived in Desert Hot Springs in the past.
