More Tickets For Weekend Two Of Coachella Fest

The second weekend of the Coachella Valley music and Arts festival is already under way and some local residents are getting their last chance to get tickets to this weekend’s show.

Organizers released a limited amount of tickets to give locals a shot at the fun.

Joaquin Rosales said he was happy to be able to still get a ticket.

“I hope it’s either better or at least the same cause it looked pretty awesome. Seeing it on YouTube that’s why I’m going to go now,” said Rosales.

Other residents like Houston Robinson said it’s a great idea to share the show online so that others can see what it’s all about.

“It’s great because it was such a huge success. It was all over YouTube, they had the video channels running so many people got to see it and then the week later they get to do it all over again,” said Robinson.

Last weekend’s show brought in more than 85,000 people to the valley and event promoter Goldenvoice said they wanted to provide the additional tickets only to locals to show their appreciation.

“All these people are local. It’s like, we have a chance now,” said Rosales.

And after standing in line for several hours, local residents from North palm Springs to the Salton Sea got their chance to get last minute tickets for Coachella fest’s second weekend.”

Kenyel Mackay said she had a special reason to stand in line.

“I actually had a ticket but mine was stolen and so I’m here to get another one. ..It’s wonderful. I mean, you know this is like really an opportunity for me to get to go because I thought I lost all hope,” said Mackay.

Each resident can buy up to two tickets but the buyer and guest have to be present and one must show valid proof or residency. The first weekend of the event was such a success that people are looking forward to what this weekend has to hold.

“Even if you don’t like the music, it’s just huge! It’s definitely an event you want to be at,” said Robinson.

Tickets are being sold for $330 for three days at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
