Woman Arrested For Driving Drunk In Her Golf Cart

A 46-year-old woman smashed her golf cart into a parked car in Indian Wells, and was jailed for suspected drunken driving, a sheriff’s department spokesman said Saturday.

Stephanie Gay Ezzell, of Indian Wells, was cruising in a cart eastbound in the 74400 block of Quail Lakes Drive at about 9:20 p.m. Friday when her cart hit the parked vehicle, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Radek Horkel.

Ezzell had head and face injuries that were described as not life- threatening.

After getting medical attention at a hospital, she was arrested and booked into the Larson Justice Center in Indio, Horkel said.

Ezzell was released after posting $2,500 bail, jail records showed.
