Sheriff’s Dept. & Sam’s Club Car Seat Check Information

The Riverside Police Department and Sam’s Club will hold a free child passenger safety seat clinic on Tuesday in Riverside.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Sam’s Club store at 6363 Valley Springs Parkway.

According to the Riverside police, studies show that four out of five child car seats are installed improperly.

Certified technicians from Riverside County Injury Preventative Services and members of the Riverside Police Department will be on hand to check child restraints for proper usage and proper fit for the child.

Parents will be asked to assist with the installation of their children’s restraints to ensure that they will be able to secure the child properly.
