128 arrests reported at Stagecoach Music Festival

Alcohol is to blame for all of the 69 arrests made during the second day of the Coachella Country Music Festival in Indio, bringing the weekend arrest total to 128 so far, a police spokesman said.

But no arrests have been made yet for the reported sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in a portable bathroom at the festival on Friday, Indio police spokesman Ben Guitron said.

“The assault was near the entrance, and we’re hoping somebody heard or saw something and will let us know,” he said. “The only suspect description we have is that one of the men was blonde, and that there were two other men.”

Guitron said that so far, traffic in the festival area has gone smoothly.

“The traffic flow has been great, considering the thousands of visitors we’ve had here,” he said.
