Power Outages
A bird flying into power lines caused a small fire and 10 customers to lose power Friday in the area of Converse Road and Date Palm Dr. in Cathedral City.
Cathedral City Fire put out the small yard fire quickly. Lines were down in the area. Edison reminds everyone that if you see power lines down, stay out of the area and call 911. These customers should have power back by 11 pm.
Another fire has caused a power outage in the area south of Vista Chino and west of North Via Norte in Palm Springs. 14 customers are reportedly without power and should be restored by midnight.
