Bilingual poll workers needed
Riverside County is recruiting bilingual poll workers for the November 6 presidential election.
Bilingual poll workers are needed at voting locations throughout Riverside County for the general election. As the county’s Latino population grows, so does the demand for bilingual assistance at the polls. Poll workers must attend a special two-and-a-half hour training class to familiarize themselves with election procedures and to prepare them to assist voters after the polls open at 7 a.m. on Election Day.
No experience is required and training will be provided by the Registrar of Voters office. Poll workers, who must be U.S. citizens and be registered to vote, earn up to $125 as precinct inspectors or $90 as precinct officers. Workers in both posts also receive $20 for attending the training class.
Anyone who wishes to participate in this important process should call the Registrar of Voters office at (951) 486-7341 or (877) 663-9906.
