Thousand Palms burglary suspects in custody

Three people were taken into custody in Thousand Palms Monday after authorities served a search warrant in connection with a burglary, a sheriff’ sergeant said.

Thousand Palms residents Misty Camargo, 35, Sergio Galvan, 37, and Araya Bouvia, 35, were arrested when authorities served the warrant in the 30200 block of Monte Vista Way, sheriff’s Sgt. Brad Farwell said. All three were booked into the county jail in Indio.

The warrant stemmed from a burglary that was reported at a residence in the 30100 block of Monte Vista shortly after 1:30 a.m., he said.

“Based on the investigation, it appeared the suspect who committed the residential burglary had taken the stolen property to a residence in the 30200 block of Monte Vista Way,” Farwell said.

Deputies found the stolen items when they served the warrant, he said.

Camargo was booked on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property, Galvan on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and Bouvia on a felony narcotics warrant, Farwell said.
