Earthquake felt in western Riverside County

A small earthquake was felt in Riverside County Tuesday morning, the U.S. Geological survey reported.

The temblor struck at 6 a.m. 5.6 miles beneath the surface with a magnitude of 3.4, its epicenter 2 miles north of Lake Elsinore and 16 miles south-southwest of Moreno Valley, according to a computer-generated report.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
