Earthquake south of valley

A preliminary magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck at 11:11 p.m. Thursday night near Borrego Springs, just south of the Coachella Valley.

Some people in the valley reported feeling the shaker which was centered 22 miles SSW of La Quinta.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.
