U.S.P.S. offers $50K reward following robbery

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for robbing an El Cajon letter carrier on the 2400 block of Fletcher Parkway in El Cajon, CA.

According to U.S.P.S., the robbery occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at approximately 5:05 p.m.

Robbery of a United States Letter Carrier is a federal crime, and offenders may be imprisoned for up to ten years, be fined, or both.

If you have information about this crime, call Postal Inspectors at 877-876-2455 (press 2), and refer to Case No. 2009378. Postal Inspectors warn customers not to approach suspicious individuals. Instead, try to note their physical appearance and any related vehicle.

Postal Inspectors are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Callers may remain anonymous.
