Free health insurance workshops held in Coachella Valley today

Assemblyman Manuel Perez, will hold two free health insurance workshops in the Coachella Valley Wednesday for small business owners and self-employed people.

The workshops are 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Indio Performing Arts Center, 45175 Fargo St., and 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Cathedral City’s Council chambers, 68700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero.

Representatives from the organization Small Business Majority will cover insurance options and help with enrollment, if desired. They have been trained on small business provisions in the Affordable Care Act, according to Perez’s office.
