Two car crash leads to cut-and-rescue in Rancho Mirage

Three people are in the hospital with non-serious injuries after two cars collided on eastbound Ramon at the Bob Hope intersection. The fire department had to cut-and-rescue an elderly man and woman from a sedan involved in the crash. According to the fire department, a middle-aged man was the driver and only person in the mini-van involved.

It is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors. Eastbound Ramon was shut down for a short time Wednesday night.
